Elon Musk and OpenAI Chief Executive Sam Altman have reignited their long-running public feud following Apple's lawsuit accusing OpenAI of misappropriating trade secrets.
According to the report, Musk used social media to criticize Altman, reviving his longtime nickname for the OpenAI chief and accusing him of repeatedly engaging in deceptive business practices.
The report said Altman responded by criticizing Musk's business ventures, including SpaceX's recent stock market debut and its plans for space-based data centers.
Musk fired back by accusing Altman of taking control of an open-source AI organization and alleging that OpenAI had also copied Apple's technology.
Apple claims former executive Tang Tan encouraged prospective employees to bring confidential product components to interviews and alleges company personnel improperly accessed internal Apple systems.
OpenAI has denied any wrongdoing and maintains that it remains focused on developing innovative technology.
