Nvidia-Backed Lambda Lands $35 Billion Anthropic Computing Deal

Anthropic has agreed to a six-year, $35 billion computing deal with Lambda as the AI company races to secure the infrastructure needed to expand its operations, according to a source cited by AFP.

The agreement follows Anthropic’s recently confirmed six-year, $45 billion deal with London-based Nscale, which will provide computing capacity at a West Virginia facility. According to AFP, Anthropic has committed to at least $135 billion in computing agreements this year.

The spending highlights the intense competition between Anthropic and OpenAI for customers, revenue and computing resources. Rising demand for advanced AI chips is also putting pressure on global supply chains, affecting industries from technology to consumer electronics.
