The project at the PORTS-Pike Technology Campus near Piketon is part of the broader Stargate AI infrastructure initiative, with additional development planned elsewhere in the United States.

The report said Nvidia's investment follows a growing strategy in which the chipmaker helps finance customers and infrastructure projects that use its technology.

That approach has attracted scrutiny over potential circular flows of capital, particularly as major technology companies increasingly invest in one another to fund the enormous costs of AI infrastructure.
