OpenAI has reduced the prices of its GPT-5.6 Terra and GPT-5.6 Luna artificial intelligence models, aiming to attract businesses that have become increasingly focused on controlling AI spending.
The announcement comes just weeks after the models were introduced.
According to the company, the price of GPT-5.6 Terra has been cut by 20% to $2 per million input tokens and $12 per million output tokens.
The report said enterprises are becoming more cautious about deploying expensive AI systems without a clear return on investment.
OpenAI also faces growing competition from Chinese AI developers and rivals such as Google, Microsoft and Anthropic, all of which have recently promoted more cost-effective AI models for commercial use.
