Over 1,000 HHS Workers Accuse Kennedy Of Risking Public Health

More than 1,000 current and former Health and Human Services (HHS) employees have urged Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to resign, accusing him of endangering Americans’ health.

Their letter, sent to Congress, follows the firing of CDC Director Dr. Susan Monarez after she resisted pressure on vaccine restrictions. The move triggered several senior resignations.

The employees criticized Kennedy for politicizing vaccine policy, rescinding Covid-19 authorizations without data, and appointing “ideologues” to key roles. They called on President Trump and Congress to replace him if he refuses to step down.

Kennedy has defended his actions, writing in the Wall Street Journal that he is restoring trust in the CDC and eliminating conflicts of interest. HHS insists reforms are overdue.

Pressure is mounting on Capitol Hill, with Sen. Bernie Sanders, Rep. Rosa DeLauro, and Sen. Patty Murray demanding Kennedy’s ouster, while Republican Sen. Bill Cassidy has called for greater oversight.
