Paramount+ is preparing a series of product upgrades aimed at expanding its audience and improving user engagement, according to an internal presentation obtained by Business Insider.
The planned features include short-form micro dramas, vertical podcast clips, a free content tier, personalized artwork and enhanced interactive experiences for sports programming.
Paramount also plans to expand multiview options for live sports, add real-time statistics and highlights during events such as UFC broadcasts, and improve personalized recommendations.
According to the report, the company is also developing new interactive advertising formats to boost viewer engagement and advertiser performance.
Business Insider reported that the technology upgrades are part of CEO David Ellison's strategy to strengthen Paramount's streaming platform as the company pursues a proposed merger with Warner Bros. Discovery, although that deal remains paused because of ongoing antitrust litigation.
