Peloton is recalling 833,000 of its Original Series Bike+ exercise bikes due to faulty seat posts that can break and cause riders to fall, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

The company has received three reports of seat posts detaching and two injuries. Consumers are advised to stop using the bikes immediately. Peloton will provide free replacement seat posts for self-installation.
The recall expands a 2023 recall of 2.2 million bikes with similar defects. The affected bikes, model PL02, were sold between January 2020 and April 2025 through Peloton and major retailers.
