The Pennsylvania Department of Health has reported at least 676 confirmed measles cases across 37 counties this year. The outbreak has resulted in 124 hospitalizations, with fewer than 1% of reported cases involving people who were fully vaccinated.
Officials did not release further details about the woman's death out of respect for her family.
Two earlier measles-related deaths in Pennsylvania involved infants in Lancaster County.
The outbreak comes amid a broader national resurgence. More than 3,200 measles cases have been confirmed across the United States in 2026, making it the country's largest outbreak since 1991, according to the report.
