Pentagon turmoil has intensified as Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth continues reshaping the department amid the Iran war, according to Axios.

Army Secretary Dan Driscoll resigned after reported clashes with Hegseth, leaving the Army without Senate-confirmed civilian or uniformed leadership.

The Washington Post has counted more than two dozen senior officers dismissed under Hegseth, while The New York Times reported that he removed at least 45 officers from promotion lists this year. NBC News also reported that additional promotions were blocked.
