Pentagon Says Nearly 100 U.S. Troops Injured In Iran Conflict

The Pentagon added that updated casualty information will continue to be published through the Defense Casualty Analysis System.

Nearly 100 U.S. service members have been injured during the past two weeks of military operations against Iran, according to the Pentagon.

According to the report, 96 percent of those injured have already returned to duty, with officials stating that most of the injuries involved minor concussions.

The Pentagon added that updated casualty information will continue to be published through the Defense Casualty Analysis System.

The report said the U.S. military death toll has risen to 17 following the deaths of three service members in recent days.

Two troops were killed in Iranian attacks targeting U.S. forces in Jordan, while another died in northern Iraq during the controlled disposal of unexploded ordnance from a downed Iranian attack drone.

According to the report, U.S. forces continued airstrikes against Iran on Monday, marking the tenth consecutive day of military operations.

Pentagon data shows that 427 service members have been injured since Operation Epic Fury began on Feb. 28, while President Donald Trump reiterated that the campaign is aimed at preventing Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.
