President Donald Trump on Tuesday celebrated what he called “crypto week,” urging Republicans in the House to vote in favor of a new digital assets bill designed to make the U.S. the global leader in cryptocurrency innovation.
In a Truth Social post, Trump endorsed the GENIUS Act, calling it a “tremendous bill” that would put America “lightyears ahead of China, Europe, and all others.” The bill is expected to receive its first vote in the House later Tuesday afternoon.
The GENIUS Act is said to include regulatory clarity for digital assets, infrastructure standards, and development incentives. It represents a significant shift in Washington’s posture on crypto policy.
Trump pledged to work with both chambers of Congress to advance further legislation.
