Scientists in Europe have unveiled an artificial intelligence tool capable of forecasting health risks years in advance. The model, called Delphi-2M, analyzes patterns in medical records to estimate the likelihood of more than 1,200 diseases, much like a weather forecast predicting a chance of rain.
Developed with data from the UK Biobank and tested on nearly two million patient records in Denmark, the tool is especially accurate for conditions with clear progression such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and sepsis. Researchers say it could help doctors intervene earlier with preventive care and assist hospitals in planning resources.
The Guardian: Meet Delphi-2M, the AI oracle predicting your health for the next decade. With insights from Europe’s best, it’s like having a crystal ball for over 1000 diseases. Just don’t let it ruin your dinner plans with all that info! https://t.co/3ow59oW3OP

The technology, however, is still in the research phase and requires further refinement. Experts caution against biases in the data and stress the need for regulation before clinical use. Still, scientists believe this marks the beginning of a new era in predictive medicine.
