Sean “Diddy” Combs’ projected federal prison release date has been moved to March 8, 2028, according to Bureau of Prisons records. The 56-year-old rapper is serving a 50-month sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey.

The updated date comes after NBC News reported that Combs allegedly paid thousands of dollars a month for contraband, including alcohol and cellphones, while incarcerated. The report described his conditions as unusually comfortable for a low-security facility.

Following the reports, prison officials moved Combs to the Special Housing Unit, where inmates may be held while authorities investigate alleged misconduct. The Bureau of Prisons declined to discuss Combs’ specific release date, citing privacy and security concerns.

Representatives for Combs disputed the significance of the reports, saying he remains focused on serving his sentence and pursuing his appeal. The Bureau of Prisons said contraband remains a persistent challenge across correctional facilities.
