Secret Service Opens Probe Into Vice President's Security Team

A member of Vice President JD Vance's Secret Service protection team is under investigation over allegations of leaking sensitive operational information, according to CBS News.

The Secret Service confirmed that the matter is being examined through an administrative investigation and said it could develop into a criminal inquiry.

The report said the investigation follows recent media reports citing anonymous agents who expressed frustration over what they described as frequent unplanned travel requests and off-the-record movements involving Vice President Vance and his family. Those reports claimed the additional assignments had affected morale within the protective detail.

According to CBS News, Vice President Vance and his family receive around-the-clock Secret Service protection. The agency is also making security arrangements for an additional family residence in Virginia.
