The widened probe now covers B-1 business and B-2 tourist visas, alongside F-1 student visas, as part of a broader effort to identify potential national security threats or visa system abuses. The expansion comes as federal scrutiny of the Ivy League campus intensifies.
Roughly 7,000 international undergraduates were already under investigation amid accusations of “pro-terrorist conduct” during anti-war protests related to Gaza.
Homeland Security previously moved to revoke Harvard’s certification under the Student Exchange Visa Program, a move temporarily blocked in court. Harvard, meanwhile, maintains that the actions are “unlawful” and insists it is committed to protecting international students.
