A U.S. magistrate judge has denied bail to Andrew and Tristan Tate, ordering the brothers to remain in custody while they contest extradition to the United Kingdom.
Judge Lauren Louis issued the ruling Wednesday as the brothers face British allegations involving rape, assault and human trafficking.
The Tates were arrested in Miami on July 18 after British authorities requested their extradition. They also face separate human trafficking and money laundering cases in Romania.
Prosecutors argued that the brothers pose a flight risk and a potential danger, while their lawyers said their high public profiles would make fleeing impractical.
According to U.S. court records, Britain has until September 16 to submit its full extradition request to the U.S. State Department. The brothers are challenging a British warrant issued in 2024.
