If you’re looking for a reason to pound Iran completely into the ground — not that President Trump needs another reason, because he’s basically ending a 47 year war against America and its allies by Iran, and they are a bunch of uncivilized thugs and assassins committing crimes against humanity — but if you’re looking for yet another reason, how about you listen to what America’s special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, said on Sean Hannity last night:
“But I know this: they have 10,000 roughly kilograms of fissionable material. That’s broken up into roughly 460 kilograms of 60 percent enriched uranium, another 1,000 kilograms of 20 percent enriched uranium,” Mr. Witkoff said.
He added that “the 60 percent materials, Sean, can be brought to 90 percent, that’s weapon grade — weapons grade, in roughly one week, maybe 10 days at the outside. The 20 percent can be brought to weapons grade inside of three to four weeks.”
The envoy continued: “In that first meeting, the — both the Iranian negotiators said to us directly with, you know, no shame, that they controlled 460 kilograms of 60 percent and they’re aware that that could make 11 nuclear bombs and that was the beginning of their negotiating stance”
In other words, Iran was within one week to ten days of developing a nuclear bomb. And they were bragging about it to our negotiators, Mr. Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
Now if that doesn’t curdle your blood, then probably nothing will. And you have leading Democrats saying that there was no imminent threat to the United States.
When will they open their eyes, when will they get honest, and when will they recognize that what Mr. Trump is doing is changing history. And getting rid of the current Iranian mullahs’ regime is akin to the Berlin Wall coming down, or defeating fascism in World War II. Or for that matter Mr. Trump’s crushing ISIS during his first term.
Mr. Trump is changing the international balance of power in ways that will benefit America, Israel, and defend democracies from our enemies for a hundred years or more.
Why not just get behind him and let him do the job?
And then you have another phony argument from so-called leading Democrats that Mr. Trump is violating the War Powers Act. Well that thing was passed in the 1970s by a left-wing Congress, and since then basically every president, Democrat or Republican, has ignored it.
But you know what? Mr. Trump has kept this Operation Epic Fury in compliance with the War Powers Act, not that anyone seems to care.
He briefed the Gang of 8 before the operation actually started. And yesterday he sent an official notification to Congress about the American strike against Iran.
Mr. Trump said that he was “providing this report as part of my efforts to keep the Congress fully informed, consistent with the War Powers Resolution.”
That resolution by the way provides any president with 60 days as commander-in-chief, before coming to Congress for some kind of up or down vote.
And then there’s another 30 days for disengagement if necessary.
Now, as I said, both Republican and Democratic presidents have ignored the War Powers Act.
So, Mr. Trump is being particularly gracious and cooperative here, but those Democrats and even a couple of wayward Republicans who are accusing him of violating the War Powers Act are completely wrong about this whole story.
That’s why their criticisms are nonsensical.
You might oppose Mr. Trump’s actions on some kind of philosophical or ideological grounds, though I think criticisms on those bases will be completely misplaced.
Yet opposition on the basis of the War Powers Act is just flat-out technically incorrect.
But you know what? This is not a technical problem. This is a battle for freedom and liberty between good and evil. Between civilized and uncivilized nations.
I believe Mr. Trump’s brave, courageous, historical actions on behalf of freedom and Western Civilization will be remembered for time immemorial. And no one will remember this Democratic nonsensical nitpicking that is plaguing our politics today.

Israel Hits Tehran Security Sites; Iran Strikes Dubai And Qatar
Israel says it has struck multiple security and command sites in Tehran, while U.S. forces have continued round-the-clock attacks on Iranian missile and air‑defense systems as Iran launches attacks on U.S. targets in Dubai and Qatar

As the conflict enters its fifth day, global markets have reacted sharply to concerns over a prolonged war in a region that is a critical corridor for oil and gas exports. Asian stocks tumbled, with Seoul experiencing a record-breaking market crash amid heightened uncertainty.
Meanwhile, Iranian state media reports that a funeral ceremony for the country’s slain former leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is scheduled for today. According to The New York Times, his son, Mojtaba Khamenei, has emerged as the leading candidate to succeed him. If confirmed by Iran’s senior clerics, his appointment could signal a consolidation of power among hardline factions.
U.S. Submarine Sank Iranian Warship Off Sri Lanka’s Coast
A U.S. Navy submarine carried out a torpedo strike that sank an Iranian warship in the Indian Ocean, off the southern coast of Sri Lanka.

The vessel, identified as the IRIS Dena, was struck in waters south of the island nation. Sri Lankan authorities said 32 sailors had been rescued, while around 140 crew members are feared missing.
According to U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, the attack marked the first time an enemy vessel had been sunk by a torpedo since the Second World War. He described the strike as a significant moment in modern naval warfare.
IRIS Dena was the newest frigate in Iran’s naval fleet, having been launched in 2015. The warship was equipped with surface-to-air missiles, anti-ship missiles, a naval cannon, machine guns, and torpedo launchers, making it one of the most advanced vessels in the Iranian navy.
On Tuesday, U.S. military Central Command said it had already sunk 17 Iranian warships and was on track to destroy Iran’s entire navy, signaling a dramatic escalation in hostilities in the region.
