Where did the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes Covid-19 originate? The question remains and should remain in focus until satisfactory answers are found.

If the country has nothing to hide, if indeed the coronavirus was transmitted from an animal to humans, if the SARS-CoV-2 was merely being "studied" in its labs, then why is China working so hard to orchestrate a cover-up? Beijing's consistent efforts to thwart the international scientific investigation give much credence to doubts about its culpability.
