The heads of three major U.S. immigration agencies are set to testify Tuesday before the House Homeland Security Committee amid growing scrutiny of federal enforcement actions in Minneapolis.

The hearing, scheduled for 10 a.m., will feature testimony from Todd Lyons, acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Rodney Scott, commissioner of Customs and Border Protection, and Joseph Edlow, director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. All three agencies operate under the Department of Homeland Security.

Lawmakers are seeking answers following two fatal shootings involving federal agents in Minneapolis earlier this year. The incidents intensified calls for congressional oversight of immigration enforcement. Republican leadership on the committee formally requested testimony after the second shooting.

In response to criticism, the administration has required agents in Minneapolis to wear body cameras and has pulled back some personnel. The hearing comes as Congress debates funding for DHS, which is set to expire later this week. The proceedings will be livestreamed by the House Homeland Security Committee.
