Trial Begins for Man Accused Of Orchestrating Tupac's Murder

The murder trial of Duane "Keffe D" Davis has opened in Las Vegas, nearly three decades after the death of rap icon Tupac Shakur.

Davis is accused of organizing the 1996 attack, including providing the gun used in the shooting, although prosecutors are not alleging that he was the gunman.

According to the case presented by authorities, Shakur was shot multiple times near the Las Vegas Strip after an earlier confrontation at the MGM Grand involving Davis's nephew.

The shooting was carried out from a white Cadillac, and investigators believe other individuals linked to the attack are now deceased.

The report said the trial will focus primarily on Davis's alleged role as the planner and weapons provider.

His own public comments and a 2019 memoir brought renewed attention to the long-running investigation.

Davis was arrested in 2023, becoming the first person formally charged in connection with Shakur's killing.
