White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt defended President Donald Trump’s federal takeover of the D.C. police and the deployment of National Guard troops, warning, "This is only the beginning."
Addressing the press, Leavitt said the administration will spend the next month pursuing and arresting every violent criminal who threatens public safety in the district.
