President Donald Trump has recommended that South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster appoint Lindsey Graham's sister, Darline Graham Nordone, as the state's interim U.S. senator following the lawmaker's death, reported by CNN.
Under South Carolina law, the governor can appoint a temporary replacement. However, because Graham was seeking reelection this year, the state will also hold a rapid primary election to choose a Republican nominee for the November ballot, the report said.
