President Donald Trump said Iran has reached out seeking a new agreement after recent U.S. military strikes, but added he remains uncertain whether the conflict will escalate into a full-scale war.
According to U.S. Central Command, American forces carried out another round of strikes targeting Iran's military capabilities linked to attacks on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. The report said about 170 Iranian military targets have been struck in recent operations.
Iran's Foreign Ministry condemned the attacks, saying they violated the memorandum of understanding reached last month. Oil prices remained elevated amid renewed concerns over tensions in the strategically important Strait of Hormuz.
