U.S. Launches Second Night Of Strikes Against Iran

The military said the objective was to impose significant costs on Iran for attacks against civilian shipping.

The United States carried out a second consecutive night of military strikes against Iran, targeting assets that U.S. officials said were used to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

According to the report, President Donald Trump said the operation was launched in response to Iranian drone and missile attacks on three commercial vessels, accusing Tehran of endangering freedom of navigation.

The report said U.S. Central Command struck Iranian air defense systems, radar installations, and more than 60 small boats operated by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

According to the report, Iranian forces responded by launching missiles at sites in Kuwait and Bahrain.

President Trump also declared the interim ceasefire effectively over and expressed skepticism about ongoing diplomatic talks, saying military operations would continue while the administration responds to Iran's actions.
