White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirms that U.S. President Donald Trump continues to place his confidence in his national security team, in a press conference aimed at discussing the Signal group chat leak. This was in response to a reporter asking if anybody from the Trump administration stands to lose their jobs over this.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth also took to social media to dismiss the recent report by The Atlantic, pointing out the lack of critical details, including names, targets, locations, units, routes, sources, methods, or any classified information. He argued that the absence of these key components proved that journalist Jeff Goldberg had never seen a real war or attack plan, and nothing classified had been discussed on the group chat.

Even U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance has accused journalist Jeffrey Goldberg for overstating the significance of his recent report, on social media platform X. Vance pointed out a flaw in Goldberg's previous reporting, specifically when Goldberg had attacked John Ratcliffe for allegedly revealing the identity of a CIA agent. Vance clarified that, in reality, Ratcliffe was simply naming his chief of staff, not exposing an undercover operative.
