President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth attended a dignified transfer at Dover Air Force Base on Wednesday to honor four U.S. Army soldiers killed during recent attacks linked to the ongoing conflict with Iran, according to CBS News.
The report said Feehan, Gonzales and Rampersad were killed during attacks on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan, while Swinton died during the controlled detonation of an Iranian drone at Erbil Air Base in Iraq.
According to CBS News, Trump met privately with the families of the soldiers before the transfer ceremony and said honoring fallen troops is among the most difficult responsibilities of the presidency.
The administration is investigating the attacks in Jordan and said the findings will be released after the inquiry is completed.
