President Donald Trump has appointed top technology leaders to a new federal advisory body focused on artificial intelligence and innovation, signaling a push to strengthen U.S. leadership in emerging technologies.

The 13-member council includes Mark Zuckerberg, Jensen Huang, Larry Ellison, Sergey Brin, and Lisa Su. The group will advise on AI policy, economic competitiveness, and national security concerns.

The council is part of the President’s broader strategy to accelerate innovation while reducing regulatory barriers. Officials say it will help shape the U.S. response to rising competition, particularly from China.

The advisory body may expand to 24 members and will be co-chaired by White House tech officials. The move underscores growing coordination between the administration and private industry as AI investment surges across the economy.
