US President Donald Trump said he would soon decide whether to negotiate with Iran or resume military action, as tensions across the Middle East remain elevated.
In a Fox News interview on Sunday, Trump described a decision on Iran as imminent and suggested further strikes would be easy to carry out.
He identified Pickaxe Mountain, a deeply buried site associated with Iran’s nuclear programme, as a possible target. The last confirmed US strikes on Iran occurred on September 1. Tehran has warned it is preparing to retaliate against any new attack.
Trump also claimed Washington controlled the Strait of Hormuz, a critical shipping route. However, trade flows remain severely disrupted, keeping energy prices elevated.
Saudi Arabia has postponed its flagship Future Investment Initiative conference until 2027 following security concerns linked to recent attacks.
