The report said Graham, a four-term Republican senator and close Trump ally, died on July 11 at the age of 71 from an aortic dissection caused by arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease. He had recently returned from a visit to Ukraine, where he met Zelenskyy to discuss proposed U.S. sanctions and tariffs on Russia.

According to CBS News, the day's events will begin with a ceremonial tribute at the U.S. Capitol honoring Graham's military service and decades in Congress.

The funeral service in Washington will be followed by a second ceremony in South Carolina on Wednesday, including a procession, an F-16 flyover and a private burial. Sen. Darline Graham thanked those involved in organizing the tributes.
