President Donald Trump announced he will host the Kennedy Center Honors this year, following the urging of his chief of staff, Susie Wiles.

Among the honorees is actor Sylvester Stallone, best known for his roles in the "Rocky" and "Rambo" films.

Recently appointed as Trump’s "Ambassador to Hollywood," Stallone has been a vocal supporter of the president, even likening him to George Washington.

Trump praised Stallone as a cornerstone of American pop culture and a Hollywood icon, joking that the only bigger name on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is his own.
