President Donald Trump announced Sunday that he will sign a sweeping Executive Order aimed at slashing the cost of prescription drugs in the United States, calling it “one of the most consequential” actions ever taken on healthcare pricing.

“For many years, the world has wondered why prescription drugs in the United States are so much higher in price than they are anywhere else,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “Sometimes five to ten times more expensive — made by the same company, in the same plant. It’s outrageous.”

The Executive Order, which Trump is set to sign Monday morning, will implement a “Most Favored Nation” pricing policy. This means the U.S. will no longer pay more than the lowest price paid by any other developed country for the same drugs. Trump said the policy will bring “immediate” price cuts of between 30% and 80%.

“For the first time in decades, America will be treated fairly,” Trump said. “Our citizens’ healthcare costs will be reduced by numbers never even thought of before.”

The Executive Order takes direct aim at Big Pharma, which Trump accused of exploiting Americans while hiding behind the excuse of research and development costs. “Campaign contributions can do wonders — but not with me, and not with the Republican Party,” he said, promising that the days of Americans footing the global bill for drug innovation are over.

Trump also claimed the order will save the U.S. trillions of dollars while forcing international markets to adjust. “Prices will rise around the world in order to equalize,” he said, arguing that global fairness — not just domestic relief — is part of the plan.

The greatest threat is another surprise attack. Yet Iran signs because they approach this agreement with clear eyes, knowing full well it is unlikely to be respected and demanding concrete verification rather than trusting empty promises.

The message BidenWorld sent early on was that heterodox voices, even tepid ones, were not welcome. Consider the case of a respected expert on Russian affairs, Dr. Matthew Rojansky, who was then serving as the director of the Kennan Institute at the Congressionally-funded Woodrow Wilson Center.
