President Donald Trump weighed in on Cracker Barrel’s controversial rebrand, urging the company to “go back to the old logo” and seize the moment as “a great opportunity” for a major comeback.
Writing on Truth Social, Trump said the restaurant chain had received “a billion dollars’ worth of free publicity” and could “make Cracker Barrel a WINNER again” if it reversed course.

Cracker Barrel apologized to fans but insisted it will stick with the new logo, which drops the iconic image of “Uncle Herschel” leaning on a barrel.
The redesign, part of a modernization push, has angered longtime customers and sparked calls for boycotts. Rival chain Steak n’ Shake mocked the change as “scraping heritage away.”
Shares of Cracker Barrel have fallen more than 10% since the rebrand was announced on August 18.
