Republican Senators Thom Tillis and John Cornyn criticised the move, while Democratic leaders also accused Trump of easing pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned that the decision benefits Moscow.

Meanwhile, lawmakers from both parties are demanding an investigation into reported disruptions affecting Ukraine’s Starlink services and intelligence sharing. They say reduced access could undermine Ukraine’s ability to intercept Russian drones and receive missile warnings.

The administration has denied responsibility for the disruptions.
