The U.S. military has concluded a wave of overnight airstrikes targeting multiple sites in northern Iran after reimposing a blockade on Iranian ports following attacks on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
The report said Iran responded by launching missiles and drones toward Gulf states, triggering missile alerts in Bahrain and Kuwait.
Jordan's military also intercepted several incoming Iranian missiles, underscoring the widening regional impact of the conflict.
According to the report, Admiral Brad Cooper said Iran launched dozens of missiles and drones at neighboring Gulf countries during the latest escalation.
The report added that the U.S. military has since concluded its overnight air campaign, while diplomatic efforts to restore a ceasefire remain under significant strain.
