U.S.-Iran Tensions Rise Following Trump Remarks On Strikes

Iran warned Tuesday that it would respond forcefully to any attack, following President Donald Trump’s statement that the United States would strike Iran again if it resumes nuclear weapons work.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said any aggression against Iran would bring a “harsh and discouraging” response, according to CBS News and the Associated Press.

His comments followed Trump’s remarks after meeting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Florida, where Trump said Iran would face powerful consequences if it rebuilds its nuclear program.

The warning comes months after U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear sites. While Trump said the attacks set Iran back decades, U.S. intelligence assessments indicated more limited damage.

Iran denies pursuing nuclear weapons but continues to enrich uranium. Analysts say Tehran’s ballistic missile arsenal remains a major regional threat as tensions rise.
