The report said President Donald Trump also reversed an earlier proposal to impose transit fees on ships using the Strait of Hormuz, stating that Gulf nations would instead increase their investments in the United States.

Meanwhile, Iran reportedly responded by attacking vessels linked to Gulf countries, resulting in two deaths and multiple injuries.

According to the report, diplomatic efforts are continuing alongside the military escalation.

Mediators, including Pakistan, are attempting to revive a ceasefire between the United States and Iran as regional instability and concerns over maritime security continue to grow.
