U.S. To Resume Troop Rotations In Poland Within Weeks

The United States will resume rotating troops into Poland within the coming weeks, according to Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz.

The report said the rotational deployment had been paused several weeks ago but is now set to restart, reaffirming military cooperation between Washington and one of its closest European allies.

Speaking at a missile factory ceremony, Kosiniak-Kamysz described Poland as a loyal U.S. partner and said the interruption in troop rotations would soon come to an end.

According to the report, the Pentagon halted the deployments in May, a decision that drew criticism from some U.S. lawmakers.

The report said roughly 10,000 American troops are currently stationed in Poland.

The resumption of regular troop rotations is expected to reinforce the longstanding defense partnership between the two countries amid continued security concerns in the region.
