The UN’s human rights chief has called on the United States to complete and publish its investigation into a deadly strike on an Iranian primary school, reported by the BBC. Volker Türk said the attack, which killed at least 168 people including many children, demands accountability and transparency.
According to Iranian officials, two missiles struck the school on the first day of the war. U.S. media reports suggest American forces may have carried out the strike. The Pentagon has confirmed an investigation is underway but has not released findings.

The report said questions are mounting over whether outdated intelligence led to the targeting error. Lawmakers in Washington have also sought answers from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
Iran has accused the U.S. of a deliberate attack, while experts cited evidence suggesting American-made missiles were used. The UN has urged a swift and impartial probe, warning that civilian casualties must not go unexamined.
