US intelligence agencies concluded that Alice Huang, a Chinese executive associated with Singapore-based data center company Megaspeed, was gathering information for Beijing, according to a New York Times investigation.

Surveillance reportedly revealed her close relationship with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, raising concerns about potential access to sensitive information.

President Donald Trump was briefed about the findings roughly a year ago but took no action, the report said. Officials were concerned about disrupting Nvidia’s business and complicating trade relations with China.

It remains unclear whether Jensen Huang knew of the alleged intelligence activities. Nvidia said its interactions with Alice Huang were routine and denied providing sensitive information.

US authorities have investigated Megaspeed since late 2024 over suspicions it helped Chinese firms access restricted AI chips.

Trade records show a Malaysian affiliate purchased at least $4.8 billion in advanced equipment containing Nvidia technology between June 2024 and February 2026.

The investigation continues, while Megaspeed says it is cooperating with authorities.
