The US military has dismissed several claims made by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, including allegations that Iranian missiles destroyed three American F-35 fighter jets at a military base in Jordan, according to the report.
The report said Iran claimed it had targeted Muwaffaq al-Salti Air Base and damaged multiple stealth aircraft during a missile strike.
According to CENTCOM, Iran's assertion that an oil tanker had bypassed the US blockade in the Strait of Hormuz was also false. The command said more than 20 commercial vessels have already been redirected under the renewed restrictions affecting ships entering or leaving Iranian ports.
The report said CENTCOM also rejected Iranian warnings that the Strait of Hormuz is unsafe, arguing that the primary threat to commercial shipping comes from IRGC threats and attempted attacks on civilian vessels.
