Utah Republican Sen. John Curtis has asked the Senate Judiciary Committee to subpoena Donald Trump Jr. and Hunter Biden over their business dealings, foreign relationships and gifts, according to CBS News.
Curtis urged Chairman Chuck Grassley and ranking member Dick Durbin to investigate whether presidential family connections have been used for financial benefit, preferential treatment or access by foreign and domestic interests.
Curtis also pointed to Trump Jr.’s cryptocurrency ventures, international real estate activities and prediction-market ties. He said the investigation should establish the facts and determine whether ethics, disclosure or anti-corruption laws apply.
Curtis argued that Congress should examine such concerns regardless of political party and consider reforms to prevent conflicts involving presidential families.
