As part of the ongoing Ulchi Freedom Shield (UFS) joint military exercises between South Korea and the United States, an extensive anti-terror drill was held at the Songpa District Office in Seoul.

Organised to bolster civil defense readiness, the exercise brought together over 200 participants from local government, military units, police, fire departments, and emergency response teams.

The primary focus was on enhancing inter-agency coordination, evaluating rapid-response protocols, and testing the government's ability to protect civilians and maintain order during critical emergencies.

Beyond traditional emergency response, the exercise heavily showcased modern warfare technologies, reflecting how South Korea is adapting its civil defense strategy to address contemporary security threats.

Troops and law enforcement personnel deployed jammer-equipped anti-drone guns and specialized tracking systems designed to detect, intercept, and disable unauthorized or weaponized unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) before they could target public infrastructure.
