At least three people were killed on Tuesday evening when an NBC News helicopter crashed and burst into flames in the Chatsworth neighborhood of Los Angeles.
The aircraft went down just before 7 p.m. near a commercial property while actively broadcasting live aerial coverage of a separate, deadly collision involving an SUV and a Metro city bus.
Emergency crews and the Los Angeles Fire Department responded swiftly to the intense flames. Authorities confirmed multiple fatalities at the scene, though officials are still working to determine the exact identities and precise locations of all victims. Both the FAA and NTSB have launched an investigation into the tragedy.
