Violent clashes erupted outside the Argentine National Congress on Thursday as hundreds of demonstrators gathered to protest a controversial bill aimed at reforming the country’s land ownership laws.
The legislative session, convened by the Senate to deliberate on sweeping modifications to existing real estate and agricultural land regulations, was overshadowed by growing civil unrest in the streets of the capital.
