The Royal Thai Air Force has deployed 69 ground personnel to Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport to help clear a massive backlog of passenger luggage.
The disruption was triggered by severe regional flooding, which left thousands of bags stranded after vital ground handling staff were unable to commute to the facilities.
With operations severely constrained, the military assistance aims to accelerate baggage sorting and reunite thousands of affected travelers with their belongings as the aviation hub works to normalize schedules.
