Bessent: We have a president now who the Chinese respect, and the leader’s relationship drives the whole agenda. So when I’m negotiating with my Chinese counterparts, whenever I hit a dead end with them, I say, 'Look, you are not implementing our leader’s consensus.' And that normally gets things moving. So, it starts at the top and moves down. And I think the fact that we’re going to have a historic year where the leaders of the two most powerful countries in the world meet four times — four times, that’s never happened before — and each time we have more deliverables.
