Anger boiled over at Cornell University as hundreds of students flooded a campus plaza to protest the administration’s handling of a reported 2024 fraternity gang rape.
The mass demonstration followed an overnight escalation in which activists targeted Day Hall, the Ivy League school's main administrative building. Vandalism left the entrance doors shattered and exterior walls covered in graffiti condemning the university's disciplinary response.
Chanting slogans and demanding institutional accountability, students and faculty members intensified pressure on leadership to overhaul campus safety policies, abolish Greek life, and provide stronger support for survivors.
