Terrifying moments northwest of Athens as a group of panicked horses galloped through heavy smoke to escape a roaring wildfire.
Firefighters fought desperately to hold back the flames as the animals made a break for safety down a nearby road.
The dramatic escape was caught on camera, but there is good news tonight local news crews at the scene confirm the horses made it out safely and are completely unharmed.
