Parts of northern Mexico are still reeling from severe flooding and widespread destruction left in the wake of Hurricane Polo. Hundreds of residents remain displaced, with their homes severely damaged or destroyed, while at least 13 municipalities continue to struggle against lingering floodwaters.
In the border state of Sonora, particularly hard-hit communities like Bacabachi saw raging torrents tear through residential neighborhoods.
Families are now facing the daunting task of returning to waterlogged properties to salvage whatever clothing, furniture, and personal belongings managed to survive the deluge. Emergency response efforts remain active as authorities work to assess the full scale of the disaster.
