Torrential downpours unleashed severe flooding across parts of northern Vietnam, paralyzing daily routines and inundating communities on Thursday.
The heavy rains hit several provinces hard—most notably Thanh Hoa and Ninh Binh—where rapidly rising floodwaters submerged homes, swallowed agricultural fields, and severely disrupted local transport networks. Residents woke up to treacherous conditions as overflowing rivers spilled into low-lying neighborhoods.
Local authorities and emergency response teams have scrambled to assist stranded citizens and assess infrastructural damages, as forecasters warn that persistent wet weather could prolong the crisis across the region.
